The Gasthof

The Gasthof*** Maxlhaid is located next to the hotel**** Maxlhaid. The Maxlhaid Gasthof – simply called “The Maxlhaid” by everyone – has a long tradition of hosting travelers. Built around 1800 as “Seeauhof”, the house from 1834 to 1859 was a station of the horse railroad Budweis-Gmunden in which an inn was included. Nowadays, we have 42 rooms. All bedrooms were renovated in 2017 and are of individual size. Further renovation works were completed in 2021 – all en-suite bathrooms were renovated.
